- NEO... NOBODY HAS EVER DONE THIS BEFORE.

- I KNOW. THAT IS WHY IT IS GOING TO WORK.

Innovative organisations communicate well and employees are open to each other’s ideas. Teamwork and collaboration are conducive to innovative environments.

A large part of the environment and creative

culture depends on the leadership. Studies have shown that 20 to 67% of the variance of the measure of the climate for creativity in organisations is directly attributable to leadership behaviour. Does that mean that it all comes down to the people at the top? Maybe not. Anonymous once said, “You have no choice about being a role model. You are one… it comes with the job. The only choice you have is which role you will model”.

Conclusion In today’s economic environment, Innovation and Leadership must go hand in hand in order for companies to stay ahead of their competitors and on the

forefront of their

market segment. Ways of combining these two are simply through Innovative Leadership methods, for unifying employees into a common creative thinking machine, and Leadership for Innovation, which aims to produce creative environments where people are free to share creative thoughts. These liberated environments are the complete opposite of some corporate environments, where power is protected and secrets are kept close to the chest. If a company can grow the areas of

Innovation and Leadership, and implement them effectively, it will eventually find itself in a very good position of growth and of solving difficult issues, placing it on the cutting edge of its market segment.
