2. THE IMPORTANCE OF CULTURE IN INNOVATION
An innovative culture consists of four major components:
Leadership - the role models who see the future possibilities: Strategies are put in place because leaders can envision a bright future and identify opportunities that can pave the way to success. Engaging the hearts of people and providing the necessary support are necessary to make the vision reality.
People - the source of innovation: Nothing happens without people. Every organisation has a personality that comes from its collective and shared beliefs, attitudes and behaviours and most of all from the relationships among its people.
THE INNOVATION IMPERATIVE
Innovation in organisations nowadays is becoming more relevant than ever before, due to prevailing tough economic conditions which compel companies to retain existing customers as much as they attract new ones.
Accordingly, organisations at large, in both the service and manufacturing sectors, must learn to become skilled at harnessing the power of innovation and creativity possessed by their employees and other stakeholders.
With this backdrop in mind, TalentLine’s 1-day Innovation workshops enable managers to exploit this creative power that lies within us all.
