C. Any person who has competed for U.S. Figure Skating as a member of the U.S. Figure Skating team as defined in ICR 4.01 and ICR 9.01 within the prior 10 years.


Section 2 Athlete Service on U.S. Figure Skating Bodies. An athlete who


is elected, selected or appointed for service as an Athlete Delegate to the Governing Council, on the Board of Directors, International Committee, International Committee Management Subcommittee, Nominating Committee, Synchronized Management Subcommittee, Selections Committee or Athletes Advisory Committee must have competed in either: A. A championship (senior) or junior event at the most recent U.S. Figure Skating Championships or U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships, or


B. An international competition as defined in Section 1 (C) of this Article XXII, within the 10 years preceding election.


68. APPROVED – Exhibit G Amend Article VIII, Section 13 (C) (page 11, Rulebook) of the U.S. Figure Skating bylaws to define how unexpired terms affect term limits:

Section 13 Vacancies. C. A director elected to fill a vacancy will be elected for the unexpired term of their predecessor in office. and may thereafter be elected to serve for the maximum number of terms allowed by these bylaws.

69. APPROVED (as part of Exhibit F) – Rules Committee Amend rule AACR 1.11 (page 35, Rulebook) and delete rules AACR 3.00 to 3.01 (page 35, Rulebook) as follows:


AACR 1.11 The members of the Athletes Advisory Committee shall will be elected annually each spring as follows: A. Athletes meeting the definition of Article XXII, Section 21, of the U.S. Figure Skating bylaws shall will elect those athletes meeting this the definition of “athlete” in Article XXII, Section 2, of the U.S. Figure Skating bylaws and also AACR 3.00 to serve as members of the committee for a period of one year and shall will number no more than 50.


AACR 3.00 Athlete Service on U.S. Figure Skating Bodies AACR 3.01 An athlete who is elected, selected or appointed for service on the Board of Directors, Governing Council, International Committee, International Committee Management Subcommittee, Synchronized Management Subcommittee, Selections Committee or Athletes Advisory Committee must have competed in either: A. 70. APPROVED – International Committee Amend rule ICR 2.02 (pages 61-62, Rulebook) as follows:


ICR 2.02 The responsibilities of the International Committee (IC) are: A. Mission: To select the U.S. Figure Skating Team that wins the maximum number of international medals and berths possible by strategically providing experience to qualified members of the U.S. Figure Skat- ing Team, and by identifying and supporting the best qualified future prospects;


B. The relationship of U.S. Figure Skating To foster relationships with the national skating associations and affiliated clubs of foreign countries;


C. The approval of To approve criteria proposed and used to select international competitions in singles, pairs and ice dance;


D. To select international competitions, based on the approved criteria; (moved from G.)


DE. The approval of To approve criteria proposed and used to select and enter member athletes in all international competitions, ISU championships, the Olympic Winter Games and the World University Games;


EF. The selection and entry of To select and enter athletes to compete in the ISU championships and to nominate athletes to the United States Olympic Committee to compete in the Olympic Winter Games;


ICR 4.00 United States Figure Skating Team ICR 4.01 The U.S. Figure Skating Team shall consists of the singles, pairs and ice dance athletes, team leaders, coaches, medical staff, referees, and judges and accountants selected by U.S. Figure Skating to participate in all international competitions, ISU championships, and the Olympic Winter Games and the World University Games for the international competition season of July 1-June 30.


ICR 9.00 United States Synchronized Skating Team ICR 9.01 The United States Synchronized Skating Team shall consists of the synchronized athletes, team leaders, coaches, medical staff, referees, and judges and accountants selected by U.S. Figure Skating to participate in all international competitions, ISU championships and the World University Games for the international competition season of July 1–June 30.

72. APPROVED AS AMENDED – International Committee and International Management Subcommittee Amend rule ICR 6.04 (page 63, Rulebook) as follows:


ICR 6.04 The ICMS shall nominate will name the athletes to all international competitions and the World University Games; the International Commit- tee shall will name the athletes to the ISU championships and nominate the athletes to the Olympic Winter Games. Athletes who are nominated to a team envelope are not guaranteed selection to international competition. Furthermore, athletes do not have to be nominated to a team envelope to be selected for international competition. D. U.S. Figure Skating Olympic Team Selection Process: Selections in each discipline for the U.S. Olympic Team will be nomi- nated to the United States Olympic Committee by U.S. Figure Skat- ing’s International Committee, taking into consideration the results of events in the following order of importance: according to the USOC approved team selection procedures. 1. Current U.S. Figure Skating Championships 2. Most recent Senior Grand Prix Final 3. Most recent World Figure Skating Championships 4. Most recent Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 5. Most recent World Junior Figure Skating Championships 6. Most recent ISU Junior Grand Prix Final


Skaters meeting the above criteria who did not compete or complete competi- tion in the current U.S. Figure Skating Championships due to injury or illness, verified by U.S. Figure Skating personnel, may be considered for selection. In addition, U.S. Figure Skating medical personnel must verify that the athlete(s) will be physically ready to compete at the Olympic Games. The complete USOC approved team selection procedures will be posted on usfigureskating. org.

73. APPROVED – International Committee Amend rule ICR 6.08 (page 64, Rulebook) as follows:


ICR 6.08 Entries of competitors to represent U.S. Figure Skating in world and other international competitions must be certified by the secretary of U.S. Figure Skating or by the chair of the International Committee or their the chair’s duly authorized representatives.

74. APPROVED – International Committee and Synchronized Management Subcommittee Amend rules ICR 10.02 to ICR 10.16 (page 65, Rulebook) as follows:


ICR 10.02 The Synchronized Management Subcommittee consists of the In- ternational Committee chair, the International Committee immediate past chair, the Synchronized Skating Committee chair, one international syn- chronized skating coach, three synchronized skating athletes who are not actively competing and five at-large members. In addition, the Synchro- nized Management Subcommittee immediate past chair and the Synchro- nized Skating Committee immediate past chair are ex-officio members of this subcommittee.
