10. APPROVED the competition entry fees for the U.S. Collegiate Championships, Regional Championships, Sectional Championships, Adult Sectional Champion- ships, U.S. Adult Championships and Synchronized Sectional Championships as submitted by the chair of the Competitions Committee.
11. APPROVED the requested change of dates in the provisional sanction for 2012 National Showcase to August 9-11, 2012; Carlsbad, Calif.; Escondido FSC. (Sanction was originally approved for August 2-4, 2012.)

September 6, 2011 14. APPROVED the Competitions Committee request to change ‘birth certificate’ to ‘any proof of age’ in the following rules 2821, 2824 and 3070:
2820 Rosters, Substitutes, Alternates and Crossover Skaters 2821 The entry form of the first qualifying competition of the year for all synchronized skating events becomes the official team roster for the remainder of the year. The roster must list all team members, including alternates. No additions will be permitted from sectionals to the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships. A. The roster is to be submitted to U.S. Figure Skating Head- quarters with the entry form by Dec. 1;
B. Requests for substitutions to the roster must be submitted on the official form to the sectional vice chair of the Syn- chronized Skating Competitions Subcommittee. Substitu- tions to the roster may be permissible up to two weeks prior to the start of the next qualifying competition. The request must be in writing and include the reason for the substitution together with a birth certificate proof of age, if applicable under rule 2824. The sectional vice chair for synchronized skating competitions will notify the national vice chair for synchronized skating competitions, the team manager, the chief referee and U.S. Figure Skating Headquarters of the decision at least one week prior to the start of the competition in question.
2824 Documents required for qualifying competitions: A. Birth certificates Proof of age (i.e., copy of birth certifi- cate, passport, driver’s license, notarized affidavit, etc.) for members of senior, junior, novice, intermediate and juvenile synchronized skating teams must be filed by Dec. 1, with the team roster must be submitted to U.S. Figure Skating Headquarters by Dec. 1, prior to the member entering their first qualifying competition. 3070 Eligibility to Compete – Synchronized Skating D. Documents required for nonqualifying competitions: 1. All levels except collegiate must provide proof of age (i.e., copy of birth certificate, passport, driver’s license, notarized affidavit, etc.) if so requested by the referee and/or the local organizing committee of the competition for which the team is entered. Proof of age must be provided: a. At credentialing if requested prior to the start of the competition, or
b. Within 24 hours of being asked by the referee. i. Failure to furnish the requested proof will result in retroactive disqualification of the member’s team.
15. APPROVED the Competitions Committee request to amend rule 2946, per- taining to synchronized skating, to delay the second playing of the music to the 7-minute mark of a 12-minute practice session:

For the free skate 12-minute segments, the music will be played for the first time no later than 1½ minutes into the session. The music will be played for the second time no later than 6½ 7 minutes into the session. A 30-second warning an- nouncement will be given prior to the start of the music for both playings. Any time left in the session will be announced at the completion of the playing of the music for the second time.
16. APPROVED the final sanction for the 2011 Hilton HHonors Skate America; October 21-23, 2011; Ontario, Calif.;
17. APPROVED the president’s reappointment of Bill Howard and Steve Cady as U.S. Figure Skating representatives to the STAR Board of Directors. The terms are for three years starting in September 2011.
