about the moments we have on the ice. It is when we build and reflect on our experiences that we get the most out of them and in turn grow as individuals. Studying in Spain has allowed me to do that and so much more. Tis is the beauty of what synchronized skating pro- vides: personal growth beyond the doors of the rink. I look forward to getting back on the ice and gearing up for an- other season and school year. I am excited for the DREAM camps and Training Festival in Delaware this summer — to see skaters from across the country come together to share their passion for the sport that has been such a big part of our lives is an amazing thing. Can’t wait to see you all there. Hasta luego!

ASHLEY MULHERN Although summer may mean

the “off-season” for most synchro- nized skaters, as we are away from our teammates and the consistency of daily practice, by no means does

this suggest that we are taking time off of the ice. Growing up, as soon as competition season ended, my countdown to summer skating camps began. I proudly think of myself as a summer skating con- noisseur. You name it, I’ve done it. I absolutely loved participating in any skating camp that I could get involved in over the summer. amazing memories that we made on and off the ice summer after sum- mer.

Tis summer I am on the other side of the summer skating camp scene, working as a counselor at the Miami skating camps for four weeks in addition to helping with the Eastern DREAM Camp and the Synchronized Skating Training

Festival. Any summer skating camp is an excellent way to keep up your skills in the off-season while mak- ing lifelong friends. I am beyond excited to give back to the summer skating programs that taught me so much and to be part of making the skaters love these camps as much as I did. Tis summer I will be LTD: “Living the DREAM!”
