Industry Update APHIS SKYPRO VIRGIN TRAINS

Your opinion sought Skypro partners

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is canvassing industry opinion on food items which should be added to the list of exempt items for aircraft removal. APHIS is responsible for ensuring the welfare

of American agriculture by preventing the introduction of animal and plant pests and diseases into the U.S. through rubbish. Regulated items include food scraps, table

and galley refuse, food wrappers or packaging materials, and other waste. Currently, APHIS is considering adding caviar

to the list of exempt items for aircraft removal, but would like to poll IFSA members to ask if there are additional food items that should be considered exempt from removal. The list of exempt items currently includes most condiments and snacks. To comment: www.surveymonkey.com/s/RRJHF8Y
