the UK. William Edwards is one of the leading ceramic designers/manufacturers left in Stoke on Trent, England and a true proponent of his art – a skill handed down for generations. He is a contemporary designer/entrepreneur
who trained at the Royal College of Art in London. For nearly 20 years, William has run a successful bespoke design, print and ceramic decorating business in the heart of the Staffordshire Potteries. In recent years the majority of his design work has been with leading five-star luxury hotels worldwide, and his impressive customer list includes The Ritz, Claridges, The Berkeley, The Burj Al Arab, and The Jumeirah Carlton Tower to name but a few.
He says: “There is a current trend in the
luxury market for using established ranges avoiding awkward shapes and a return to a more conventional form but with smart applications of bespoke patterns which can be either very eye-catching or subtle through printing techniques such as white on white. All project work carried out is entirely unique to each of our customers and great care is taken to understand our customer’s requirements for both performance and aesthetic appeal.” Once the creative process is complete,
William’s factory in Stoke-on-Trent brings the designs to life through its outstanding print and decorating capabilities and service is always personal and first class throughout. As an aside, William continues to offer his
commissioned design and personalisation service to international hotels.
