SAAMI specifi cation. Chamfering is a separate step. A W.F.T. costs $69.95. I was so

impressed that I now own a W.F.T. for the 204 Ruger, the 22-250 Remington, and the 220 Swift. In summary, Little Crow Gun-

works can provide an accurate GT var- mint rifl e built to user specifi cations for a reasonable cost. The 204 GT rifl e de- scribed in this article provided consis- tent 0.5 minute-of-angle accuracy with handloads for 39-, 50-, and 55-grain bullets and sub minute-of-angle ac- curacy with 32- and 40-grain factory

ammunition, demonstrating that a 204 with a 1:9" twist barrel can produce good accuracy with bullets of 32 to 55 grains. In addition to the GT rifl es, Little Crow Gunworks also offers the W.F.T. case trimmer for specific cartridges. This small case trimmer is inexpensive, easy to use, and greatly reduces the tedium associated with high-volume case preparation. Additional details and specifi c cost information for these products can be obtained by giving Dale Hegstrom a call. He enjoys inter- acting with customers and is dedicated to providing personalized service.

The Little Crow Gunworks in Spicer,

Minnesota, takes its name from a mid-19th century Sioux Indian chief. The business was established in 2006 when Dale Heg- strom moved back to his home town after several years working as a custom rifle gunsmith for Paul Jaeger in Grand Junction, Tennessee, and then Gander Mountain in Appleton, Wisconsin. Dale’s shop occupies approximately 1,300 square feet and is fully equipped to handle a complete range of cus- tom gunsmithing tasks. With background as a custom rifl e gunsmith and an interest in F-class and long-range shooting, Dale specializes in building accurate GT rifl es in varmint or sporter confi gurations that are suitable for long-range hunting. He places emphasis on personal service and high quality work, with delivery of fi nished rifl es within six months of the placement of orders.

Loads tested in the 204 Ruger GT rifl e and used in the fi eld include (left to right): 1) 55-grain Berger Match Varmint BT bullet, 25.0 grains Varget, C.O.L. = 2.55 inches, 3,200 fps; 2) 50-grain Berger Match Varmint BT bullet, 25.5 grains Varget, C.O.L. = 2.4 inches, 3,230 fps; 3) 39-grain Sierra BlitzKing bullet, 27.8 grains Varget, C.O.L. = 2.413 inches, 3,650 fps; 4) Remington Premier, 40-grain AccuTip-V Boat Tail, 3,900 fps; and 5) Hornady Varmint Express, 32-grain V-Max, 4,225 fps.

The post extending from the bottom of the trimmer is inserted into the chuck of the power drill and turns the cutter visible in the exit port.

Successive three-shot, 100-yard groups with three handloads and two factory loads demonstrate the fast-twist GT rifl e's superb accuracy with bullets of 32 to 55 grains and a less than 0.5 inch variation in point of impact for different loads and bullet weights.
