Premium amenities En Route opens a new bake-off unit
American Airlines is introducing a new suite of premium-class amenities. A quilted bed topper, pyjamas and slippers will form part of the airline’s new turndown service. Also new are a lightweight day blanket,
new duvet and pillow, and an amenity kit with an Eames Office® design pattern and containing Dermalogica® skincare products. The new amenities were rolled out on selected international flights in First and Business Class cabins from September 1. “We believe this new suite of premium products is a wise investment because it enables us to provide an added level of comfort and style to the in-flight environment – a sentiment applauded by customers on international test flights earlier this month,” said Rob Friedman, American’s vp Marketing. “American is the first and only US airline
to offer pyjamas, slippers and a quilted bed topper as part of its turndown service – a step that better aligns us with our joint business and oneworld® Alliance partners,” added Friedman. Customers travelling on board American’s flights between the US and London Heathrow (LHR) will be among the first to enjoy the new offerings.
