Bottega wins a medal OnAir equips Qatar Turkish Airlines offers internet access

For the second year in a row, Distilleria Bottega has won the Drinks International Travel Retail medal for the Best Packaging. The winner this year was the Amarone Prêt- à-Porter, conceived by American designer Denise Focil. Amarone is the finest wine of the northeast of Italy. This is a special vintage of Amarone, made from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes, harvested in the highest zone of Valpolicella, at about 600m. It is characterised by the scent of sour cherry, notes of vanilla and a lightly tannic aftertaste. Denise Focil has enhanced the traditional bottle with a label imprinted on a white leather rectangle, framed by metal studs. The stylist created a bottle-sized case, also in leather, with a carrying strap. Hence the name ‘Il Vino Prêt-à-Porter’ (Prêt-à-Porter Wine), with its nod towards the world of fashion www.distilleriabottega.com

In 2013 Qatar Airways will launch the Airbus A350XWB, equipped with OnAir’s cabin communications suite installed as linefit. OnAir’s connectivity services will be deployed throughout Qatar Airways’ 80-strong A350XWB fleet, as well as being installed on the Airbus A320 and Boeing 787 fleets. OnAir’s satellite-based service allows passengers to use their mobile devices for calls, text messaging, email and mobile data, as well as providing inflight Internet access. It works in the same way as international roaming, with usage costs being charged by the passenger’s home network operator in the regular bill. Access to inflight Internet is very easy: simply enter your credit card details and start surfing. www.onair.aero
