What does your role as vp sales and service with the Flying Food Group bring to the Association? My role as vp sales and service at FFG certainly gives me a different viewpoint, but I really believe it is my full career to date that is most beneficial. I am trained as a classical chef and am passionate about food and beverage with a career encompassing airlines, hotels, hospitality, and retail. I have a unique varied experience in the airline catering industry having worked in both leading airlines (Emirates and British Airways) and airline catering companies (Trusthouse Forte - now Alpha for the young people reading this! DO&CO, Flying Food Group). This gives me a complete insight into all areas of our business; the good, the bad and the ugly! I believe this is a real benefit in an organization such as IFSA where members may have differing viewpoints depending on

Stephen White, ITCA president, tells us he is delighted that the sales have been so good for the Aircraft Interiors show
and specifically the World Travel Catering & Onboard Servcies Expo in Hamburg. Said White: "The fact that ITCA sold the trade show to Reed Exhibitions was done in the belief that a unification of ITCA and Aircraft Interiors would better serve the industry and it is good to know that the industry has supported the move so wholeheartedly".

This has enabled me to keep abreast of the travel industry as well as experience the different cultures of the world and of course the food! At an ITCA board meeting at the end of September members concentrated on a list of new products and services that they are busy developing. These have yet to be finalised and we all look forward to hearing about ITCA’s new plans very soon. Stephen will be attending ITCA Dubai
where he looks forward to meeting up with ITCA members and will be, of course, attending the Hamburg Expo.
