The lower dash panel must be removed to gain access to the screws that hold the upper wood grain trim. Remove the lower panel by removing the phillips head screws on the side of the panel.
With the driver-side lower panel and pas- senger side panel removed, remove the wood grain trim by removing two Phillips screws, found on both the driver and pas- sengers side.
After carefully removing the wood grain trim, the factory radio must come out. It is held in place by Phillips screws on either side.
The separate radio screen is next to come out. Remove the associated Phil- lips screws.
With the radio in hand, unplug all the harnesses in the back of the radio.
All the controls, buttons and vents must be removed from the center dash panel.
With everything removed, some modifi- cations need to be made to the center brace of this dash piece, so the techni- cian protects the silver dash panel to avoid any possible scratches.
Using a fine-toothed saw blade, the care- ful and slow process starts of cutting out the center brace. This will allow the new screen bezel to be mounted to the center dash piece.
