Nuys, Calif. Jon Webb of Performance Audio Las Vegas was named Installer of the Year. Webb seemingly couldn’t find the words to share with the hun- dreds of fellow installers and retailers in attendance. He didn’t have a prepared speech. “Well, guess you always pick someone who doesn’t like to talk in front of people,” he told the audience. “Just a whole lot of thanks to a lot of people who mentored me over the years. I’m lucky to have a lot of friends in this industry. Thank you.”

Solomon Daniels opened the awards presentation by talking about taking control of business, and no longer allowing the economy, weather and other uncontrollable factors to dictate a retailer’s path to success. After much anticipation, the Retailer of the Year

Among the evening’s presenters was Peter George, vice pres- ident of sales and marketing for North America at Parrot. “It was a real good opportunity for the industry to be recognized,” he said. “There are a lot of great people that are here at this event and we are certainly glad to be here.
