PARROT ASTEROID

in ways it wasn’t even intended. What the AQ-DM-4B lacks in an inventive name it makes up in pure usefulness. I pick the AQ-DM-4B based upon its very simple design. It
takes a product that millions own and not only protects it in a harsh environment, but also allows it to be used. True, there could be some improvement to this product with the addition of phone usage with the iPhone, but they are miles ahead of any other product I’ve seen.
The Skinny - Receiver with Web service apps, voice recogni- tion and hands-free telephone. On the surface, the Asteroid doesn’t look much different that about a thousand other head units and doesn’t do anything different from about a thousand other products. What it does do, however, is combine things in such a way that the product is greater than the sum of its parts. I pick the Asteroid because it represents where things are headed. It allows for Internet apps that can be added or de- leted as needed, which also enables individuals to make the headunit their own based upon what they pick and how they position it within the menu system. It has a very sleek look and isn’t cluttered with too many buttons or knobs. True, we are in the age of touch-screen, but I believe that a large dial will always be smart, as long as a steering wheel is being used to drive a vehicle.
MOBILE SOLUTIONS RA - BIT TRAY
mobilesolutions-usa.com The Skinny - A router bit/bearing tray. As a former Top 100 installer myself, I know all too well the
importance of the right tool for the right job. Bryan Schmitt of Mobile Solutions understands installers and how to make them not only better, but also make them more money. I pick the RA - Bit Tray because it is a straight-up sexy piece of custom installer equipment. It not only offers a very clean way to store router bits and bearings, but it shows exactly what the bearings will do when used for oversize and reduction cuts. If you’re an installer,
you’ll
smack yourself on the head and say, “Of course.” You might be able to make one your- self, but for the price, why?

REVENEW SYSTEMS

The Skinny - An online marketing system with content pre-cre- ated by your own manufacturers. While Revenue is new to the mo- bile electronics industry, it already has a proven track record when it comes to online marketing and di- rect email marketing campaigns. They offer the kind of product you’d

expect from a bigger named company, with a price tag to match. I pick Revenew because it is something that every business should be doing already and they allow businesses to do it in a much more polished, professional and effective manner. If you’re not up on the news, it is important to note that Revenew is now a MERA member benefit.
