varmint shooters is the short action Model 360S, designed with an ejection port of 2.44 inches and an overall length of 7.815 inches. The next in line in size is the longer version 360, the Model 360L. This action is built with a larger ejection port, measuring 3.62 inches, and has an overall length of 8.625 inches. Both of these 360 series models come with a bolt body diameter of 0.700 inch and a receiver diameter of 1.360 inches. In most cases these 360 series actions will fi t nicely in a factory Remington Model 700 stock and they will accept a typical Model 700-style trigger assembly. Next in size is the Snowy Mountain Model 450. This action is a little more rigid in its design, making it a little more suitable for the larger magnum cartridges like the .300 Ultra Mag., .338 Ultra Mag., and .338 Lapua. This would be an excellent choice for shoot- ers looking for a rifl e for long-range shooting applications. The overall length of the Model 450 action is 8.97 inches and it comes with an ejection port measuring 4.00 inches. The bolt body diameter is 0.750 inch and its receiver diameter is 1.450 inches. The last and largest of the company’s actions is the massive brute Model 600. This model is clearly more attuned to tactical style rifl es, or possibly as an action to be used on a dangerous game rifl e. The Model 600 is fully ca- pable of handling such earth-shaking cartridges as the .338 Lapua, .375 Chey Tac, and the .416 Barrett. It measures 10.00 inches long, comes with an ejection port of 4.50 inches, a bolt diameter of 0.750-inch, and a receiver diameter of 1.60 inches. All the Snowy Mountain actions are available in stainless steel or chrome-moly, come stock with fl uted bolts, and are designed either as a single-shot or as a repeater. The bolt
