A Family Affair Innovative Creators

About the Innovative Creators Behind Artihove:

Aad and Jelle van Dijk, together with a huge selection of artists like Mrs. Corry Ammerlaan van Niekerk, are the creative and innovative forces behind Artihove. This father and son duo continuously seek new production methods, designs, materials and high-profile artists, all which enable the pair to create stunning designs for corporations, organizations and individuals in a way that brings the arts and design closer to the people. Initially, Mrs. van Dijk started the business, and her husband Aad van Dijk joined later. After their first sales of craft objects, they slowly moved toward a variety of new art styles and production methods. The acquisition of an old 19th century ceramics factory established in 1898 by the Dutch town Gouda allowed them to explore the beauty of ceramics as a material, art object and gift. The original Dutch Delfs Blue and Gouda Plateel Designs that their factory made have been retained as museum pieces and are not produced any more. After stopping production of the original designs a few years ago, Artihove introduced more modern designs from Delfs Blue objects. Someday, Artihove may decide to return to their roots of the original collection -- they have kept the molds and painting design -- but for now, the classic beauty of this Dutch design and art history is kept in good hands.
