Annual Giving Alumni Opportunity
Te success of this year’s Annual Fund was in a large part due to the strength and dedi- cation of our alumni body. With more than 500 alumni giſts (an increase in participation from 12% in 2009-2010 to 19% in 2010- 2011), alumni from all decades stepped up to
our challenge and the school was rewarded with a giſt of $100,000 from an anonymous parent. Similarly, because Annual Fund participation more than doubled from our Reunion year alumni, the school earned an additional giſt of $50,000 from the same
Special Thanks to the Class of 2011
In recognition of its teachers, fellow students, and the St. Anne’s- Belfield community as a whole, the Class of 2011 voted unani- mously to raise money to design and construct an outdoor class- room/amphitheater space on our Greenway Rise campus. Built into the existing landscape, the space is designed to hold informal meetings, small performances, presentations, outdoor movies on a warm spring night, and small gatherings during reunion weekend. Te giſt will be enjoyed by all members of the community – current students, alumni, and teachers alike. Aside from being a wonderful addition to the campus, this project provided a great opportunity for our seniors to learn the importance of giving back to a commu- nity that has given so much to them over the years. With the help of
Senior Class Co-Presidents, Annie Bingler and Kevin Zeithaml, as well as Senior Prefects Addie Bolin, Lawrence Brayman, Jay Everett, and Kate McCullough, more than eighty members of the graduat- ing class contributed to the fundraising efforts. However, the bulk of financial support came from the Class of 2011 parents. Between the Annual Fund and this project, senior parents raised a toal of $195,577, with $52,677 designated to the senior class giſt. Tank you to Heidi Bell and Greg Allen for coordinating the parent fund- raising efforts and for everyone involved in making this project a success. We look forward to utilizing the space beginning in the fall of 2011!
