While substitute teaching, Mrs. Corbin earned a Master’s of Education degree in reading from the University of Virginia. In recent years, she served as the Middle School Division Coordinator and Co-Chair of our 2008 Auction. Earlier in her career, Andrea worked for IBM in New York City as a systems engineer. Mrs. Corbin is an avid gardener and a member of the Charlottesville Garden Club.


A graduate of Westminster Choir College and Goucher College, Ms. Kingsley also brings Kodaly and Orff training to our evolving Lower School Performing Arts program. Janet has integrated music, drama, and movement in the classroom and in school performances. She looks forward to living in Charlottesville following her years teaching in Oregon, New York, and New Jersey.


For over eight years, Mrs. Lindbergh, the mother of Elise, Johnny, and Emma, has served as Homeroom Parent and Grade Level Repre- sentative. She also contributed her talents to the Book Fair, Grandparents’ Day, STABFAB activities, and the Lower School Food Bank. She has ten years of teaching experience, as well as degrees in Special Education from the Universities of Florida and of South Florida.


Mrs. Taylor will be rejoining St. Anne’s-Belfield School following five years at home with her two young sons. Amy has a degree in elemen- tary and early childhood education from Towson State University. Previously, Amy taught in our Kindergarten program. Once again, she looks forward to using her professional and practical expertise in the classroom setting. Amy will teach in the Pre-School program.


Ms. Redfearn Cave will be our Choral and General Music teacher for grades 4-8. She comes to us from the Mountaintop Montessori School here in Charlottesville and has years of experience teaching music and theater. Like Ms. Kingley, she has extensive experience with and is certified in the Orff Method.


Te son-in-law of Middle School faculty member Robert Bogley, Mr. Gulotta comes to us aſter ten years at the Indian Mountain School in Connecticut, where he taught both history and English, coached several sports, was a dorm advisor, and served as assistant athletic director. He holds a B.A. in History from the College of Wooster. He joins the Middle School faculty as an English and history teacher.


Serving as the schools' new Middle School Athletic Director, Rich Mazzola comes to us from the Tacher School in Ojai, California. In addition to his athletic duties, Mr. Mazzola will teach grade 6 Physical Education and Middle School Life Skills. He holds a Masters Degree in English from the University of California–Santa Barbara, and a B.A. in English from Dartmouth.


Ms. Sisson recently completed her B.A. in English and history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Tis fall, she will join our Middle School faculty as a grade 5 English/history teacher in addition to serving as a Middle School Field Hockey assistant- coach.


Prior to moving to Charlottesville, Erica taught Honors and AP Physics to 9th -12th graders in Rhode Island for three years. Erica is an avid


sailor and has coached both rowing and sailing, as well as served as fleet captain as part of the Sail Caribbean program. She is eager to be involved in coaching here at St. Anne's-Belfield School.


With a double major in Classical Languages and Mathematics from the University of the South, Mr. Garton will teach Latin and math- ematics in the Upper School. He comes to us from the Webb School in Nashville, where he taught AP Statistics, Algebra, and Trigonome- try. Tough we may not have teams for his area of sporting expertise, he has experience as a fencing instructor and a Trap and Skeet coach.


Aſter three years at Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire, Mr. Klaus will be joining the Upper School History department. At KUA, he taught AP U.S. History in addition to other courses in the history department, lived in the dormitory, and coached tennis and soccer. Mr. Klaus will be joining our boarding program as a dorm parent and will also be coaching.


Mrs. Krom comes to STAB with degrees in Spanish and Hispanic Culture. She will be teaching Spanish 1, 2, and 3. Most recently, she taught Spanish at the Dunham School in Louisiana, where she worked with former STAB teacher, Dan Breen. Mary played lacrosse at the collegiate level and will coach our girls’ teams. She and her husband will also be serving as dorm parents in our boarding program.


Ms. Parker graduated from the Peabody College at Vanderbilt University, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Education. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and mathematics with a minor in French. Ms. Parker has experience working with 8th graders but will spend most of her time teaching Algebra to our 9th


-11th graders. She will also coach basketball at the Upper School level.


Ms. Patterson joins our Upper School faculty this fall as a Mathematics Teacher. Coming to us from Nashville, Tennessee, she recently earned a Master's of Education degree from Vanderbilt University in Math Learning and Instruction. She also earned her B.A. from Vanderbilt, majoring in Secondary Education and Math.


Ms. Swain comes to us with years of experience from Virginia Episcopal School, where she taught Biology and Environmental Science, lived in the dormitory, and served in numerous extracurricular roles. She worked with Pearce Johnson as AP exam graders, so she is famil- iar with our program. A classically trained and accomplished violinist, Sarah will also be serving as an orchestra assistant to Debbie Lyle.
