The Charitable Remainder Trust: A Thank You O

ur charitable remainder trust is a thank you to St. Anne’s-Belfield School for the wonderful educational experience that our oldest granddaughter, Katie, ben-

efitted from through her years as a “sandbox” student. At the time of our contributing, Katie was in the process of making her col- lege choice; she was well-grounded for this step by her education at St. Anne’s-Belfield School.

We funded the trust with assets which will ultimately come to the school, while allowing us to keep earnings from those funds over the coming years, to provide for the education of our eight other grandchildren!

Te trust assets will one day transfer to the school’s endowment, which provides future funds for important needs of the school beyond what annual tuition revenues are able to support.

Te Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT) is an exceptional way for us to say thank you to St. Anne’s-Belfield School for the benefits that our grandchild received from her educational experience, and to assure that future generations of children will have the same opportunity that she enjoyed.

– Bob and Andrea Collins

Bob and Andrea Collins of Charlottesville, grandparents of Katie ’09, established their charitable remainder trust in 2005. Bob served as a Trustee of the school from 2004 to 2010.
