ADDITIONAL RESOURCES YOUR RESIDENCE HALL COUNCIL

RESIDENCE HALL COUNCIL (RHC) – The RHC consists of current residents who have been elected by their peers. The purpose of the RHC is to facilitate the social, educational and personal growth of all residents. The RHC acts as a liaison between residents and the administration and aids in maintaining the best possible environment for all residents; their motto is “We make DePaul home.” There are many ways to get involved with the RHC. Residents may join the Executive Board or Senate, or attend RHC-sponsored events. The RHC is primarily focused on programming and governance for students. Past programs include Little Siblings Weekend and DePaul’s Got Talent. Below are the services provided to on-campus residents. Please check the RHC website (rhc.depaul.edu) for more details.

LINENS – The RHC offers linen purchases through On- Campus Marketing before the academic year begins. If you have questions about the linens you purchased, please visit rhl.org/dpl.

LOFT RENTAL – Lofts are metal frames that elevate a bed. Lofts may only be leased through the RHC-approved vendor. All other loft systems, whether purchased or homemade, are prohibited (leased lofts may only be used in the traditional residence halls, which excludes Sanctuary Hall, Sanctuary Townhome, McCabe Hall, Sheffield Square Apartments, Vincent and Louise House and Centennial Hall). Residents may only rent lofts before the academic year begins; they will be delivered to your room prior to September 3, 2011. The lofts are delivered unassembled, and residents are responsible for assembling their own lofts. Bed ends and additional furniture must remain in the room and cannot be removed to create more space for a lofted bed. A week before the school year ends, students are responsible for returning their lofts during pick-up day to the assigned location. At this time,
