Feature: Amenities

The essential gift

As airlines and suppliers commit to offering their passengers an ever better amenity product, OnBoard Hospitality features the latest offerings on the market

Austrian Airlines Austrian Airlines invited Hong Kong-based Formia to design its latest care kit for its long haul Business flights. The felt bag, wrapped in a red strap, introduces a set of eight different motifs. The black & white prints reinforce the sense of timeless Austrian’s joie de vivre in combination with its signature mountain holiday spirit. www.formia.com

Etihad While European airlines such as British Airways, KLM and Austrian are looking at their heritage to differentiate their travel experience Etihad is taking a more opulent approach to its new First amenity kit. Encrusted with Swarovski crystals, the female black cosmetic purse contains products from Swiss luxury brand, La Prairie, including moisturiser, hand cream and lip balm. The male version is a black leather cufflink box with amenities such as a shaving kit with a Schick Xtreme 3 razor. Other items include toothbrush and toothpaste, ear plugs, socks and eyeshades. This is the first time that Swarovski has teamed up with an airline.
