NW Harvest Benefit Race September 10


The 19th annual Northwest Harvest


Benefit race is sponsored by the Seattle Singles Yacht Club (SSYC). Now more than ever, Northwest Harvest is in need of donations. Through your participation in the race, auction and dinner-dance, you'll be contributing to a very worthy local food relief effort and having fun at the same time. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each class in the Race Against Hunger on Saturday morning. Awards will be made following the race at the Corinthian Yacht Club. Norm Blanchard WOOD Regatta September 23-25


After a one year hiatus, the Center


for Wooden Boats will host the Norm Blanchard Wood Open & One Design Regatta. Large classic racer-cruisers up to 40 feet will race in the Open Class, Day Sailers will race in the long and small courses and we will also have the Classic Plastic Class - this year it will be the San Juan 21. Racing will start at noon Saturday

CYCE Foulweather Bluff October 1


CYCE invites you to its 31st annual


Foulweather Bluff Race. Yachts with a PHRF rating of 180 and faster compete in the 26 mile feature course to the Foulweather Bluff buoy and return to Edmonds via the Scatchet Head buoy. Yachts with a PHRF of 181 or slower and all boats entering the NFS division will race the 18 mile course to a temporary buoy off Pilot Point, also returning to Edmonds via the Scatchet Head buoy. The first division will start at 10:00 am, reverse starting sequence, with multi- hulls in the last start. Overnight moorage is available at


the Port of Edmonds Marina for boats arriving the day before the race and/or staying overnight the day of the race. Octoberfest Regatta September 24-25


Sail Sand Point and Corinthian


Yacht Club will hold the annual Octoberfest Regatta at Sail Sand Point’s Magnuson Park location. This two day race will be the final race of the Northwest Youth Racing Circuit and last year attracted over 120 sailors. The regatta will feature boats from a variety of fleets, including Optimist, Lasers, Laser Radials, and Laser 4.7, Flying Junior, 29ers, and any other fleet able to bring four or more boats. A separate Optimist Green Line will be run for new racers. All Sailors between eight and 18 are invited to race.
