lounging amongst the palm trees and an island hut --- oh to be in... Seattle? Summer came back out just in time


for 48° North's annual Tropical Night at the Duck Dodge, co-sponsored by Ullman Sails and Marine Servicenter, and joined by pretty much every sailboat, packed-full with sun-starved sailors. There was the perennial mix of tropically attired folks on the island, such as the crew from 48° North and all


of our old friends that always help out, as well as some new. Lake Union was filled with scantily-


clad, thirsty sailors with decorated boats, all coming within inches of the island, hoping to catch a sip of our latest elixir. At times the boats were three and


four deep sailing by the island, including a fabulous showing by the Thunderbird fleet. And no, rounding the island several times does not get you more beer!
