Excitement builds for EAS 2011

The Euro Attractions Show heads to London in 2011

EUROPEAN amusement and attraction owners, operators and suppliers will experience the vibrancy of London during the Euro Attractions Show in 2011. Organised by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, EAS 2011 London will be held in the Grand and National Halls of the Olympia Exhibition Centre, from September 27 to 29, with more than 270 exhibitors and 8,000 participants expected to take part. The Olympia, which is known for its stunning Victorian

architecture, magnificent galleries and ornate barrel- vaulted roof, has recently been renovated. The exhibition facility, which is located in central London, is surrounded by hotels and restaurants and is easily accessible by the London tube system and taxi services. “Going to London for EAS 2011 is a natural

progression for IAAPA and the Euro Attractions Show,” said Mats Wedin, chairman of the IAAPA Europe advisory committee. “With our strong relationship with the British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions and the large number of attractions in the UK, it is, without question, one of the best places to take EAS.” In May, IAAPA announced that it had formed a

partnership with the UK’s not-for-profit Play Providers Association. The two groups will host the Play Providers Conference and the PPA Aspire Awards - the centrepiece of the annual indoor play calendar - at EAS. The PPA will be releasing the speaker line- up for its educational conference programme over the coming weeks, as well as booking information for the fourth annual Aspire awards which the PPA is hoping will top 200 industry guests this year. Speaking about the decision to move these key PPA events this year, Kate Costin, PPA association manager, commented: “EAS will provide an exciting exhibition

for the indoor play sector and so it was a natural step for the PPA to combine our conference and awards dinner with the show and make EAS the platform for indoor play operators to come together to grow and develop ideas in running successful centres. “The PPA is keen to provide indoor play operators with an event that educates, excites and provides ample networking opportunities and we are all looking forward to EAS this year and would encourage all operators to put the dates in their diaries.” Continuing its tradition of changing host countries

each year, EAS London 2011 follows on from the hugely successful event which took place in Rome last year. The more than 9,000 visitors and 1,000 participants in the extensive conference programme set a new attendance record for the show.
