and it is for this reason that Enchanted Kingdom has been able to tap into a wide array of talent to enhance the “enchanting” experience of a visit to the park. “Over the past 15 years, we have had performers who
have gone on to work for such big names as Hong Kong Disneyland and more recently, Universal Studios Singapore,” notes Mamon. “Of special interest would be our own eldest son and daughter-in-law, who used to work with our Entertainment Department but are now part of the Hong Kong Disneyland team since it opened in 2005! It just shows the unusual talent pool that we can select from and hone to international and world class standards.” Enchanted Kingdom provides what it refers to as
“zone entertainment” in each of the park’s zones, such as the Victorian Dancers of Victoria Park, the Boulderville Buddies (dinosaur mascots and cave people comedy act) at Boulderville, the Jungle Tribesmen (fire-breathing dancers) of Jungle Outpost, the Spaceport Dancers of Space Port and the Latin Dancers of the Portabello Zone.

throughout the season using in-house performers and others from the park’s TV network partners. These are usually held in the 600-seat events area, Eldar’s Tent. Major fireworks displays are also held throughout the year, along with an annual “pyro-musical” competition every October. “We look with renewed confidence and vigour as we
enter 2011,” said Mamon, “and aside from being our 16th year, this is also the year that we start rebuilding our dream of redeveloping Enchanted Kingdom from a stand-alone theme park into the leading weekend leisure destination in the country complete with all the amenities for a weekend stay of wholesome family leisure and entertainment.”
