“From this we embark upon a journey of life. WonderFull makes us stop and look at our humanity, at ourselves, at our emotions, our joys, our commitments and our journey through life. It is a story about Singapore and the region and is a story about us all.” The story is told using the mediums of giant water screens,

vibrant multi-colour, high-power lasers, search lights, spot lights, fountains, surround sound, strobes, bubble factories, LED lighting, HD video projection and special effects. “The 13-minute show is a water, land and sky based

360-degree experience unlike anything seen before,” Brooks said. “The show features new and exciting technology that took Laservision three years to develop and refine. A team consisting of 100 specialists in architectural, design, creative, musical, engineering, technical and IT resources were drawn from our Hong Kong, Australian and Singaporean offices (to create it). “The nightly spectacular also showcases an original

sound score composed, arranged, produced conducted and performed by internationally renowned Singaporean artists including Iskandar Ismail and Daryl Ang. The sound score was recorded in Bratislava using the world renowned 140-piece strong Bratislava Symphony Orchestra. Singapore’s premier child violinist, Grabriel Ng, complemented the sound score by providing a truly moving soloist performance.” Brooks noted that Laservision had to overcome a number

of challenges in the development of WonderFull, not least of which was to design a floating water screen, projection and fountain system in a body of tidal water. “Obviously, if the system was not secured at exactly the same location each night the projection position would move and the laser and projectors would all be out of alignment,” he said. “Laservision designed and developed a custom projection floating solution using an hydraulic locking mechanism to ensure the projection positions were identical each evening during show time.”

Having successfully overcome logistical hurdles and the

challenges of nature, Marina Bay Sands’ light and water show is one of the larger multimedia projects Laservision has been engaged to deliver. “The WonderFull show progresses through key stages

of life,” said Brooks, “from mysterious beginnings where ideas are conceived to the miracle of birth; innocent infants exploring and carefree children having fun; from the dramatic transformative teenage years to the emotional bonds and commitments of a young couple in love. “WonderFull takes us through the tenderness of

relationships that parenthood brings then onwards to the strength and wisdom of grandparents; reflecting proudly and gazing back upon their many children and grandchildren. The show then embarks on a journey of wonder and beauty in the faces of people from around our world and finally returns to Singapore and celebrates the world class architecture of a nation that has come of age.”

Award-winning performance AMID its continued success across major world leisure markets, Laservision recently received the Australian Exporter of the Year award in the arts and entertainment category of the Prime Minister’s Export Awards. This is the second time Laservision has been awarded this prestigious award. “From the Hills district in North West Sydney, Laservision created and

run the magical lighting and sound effects that go on display every night in Hong Kong,” said director of projects and marketing Shannon Brooks. “Powered by laser, digital images, projection and sound, Laservision’s unique visual displays span more than 20 countries, most recently Singapore and Korea.” In congratulating Laservision on its award, Ian Murray, executive

director of the Australian Institute of Export, said: “This is yet another example of the diversity of Australia’s exports. We have watched Laservision grow and been amazed by the clever application of the technology that makes them a world leader in laser driven entertainment. If we are to create a well balanced portfolio of export activity, Australia needs more companies like Laservision.”
