One of Jen McIntosh’s new British records, the 584 in Qualification, was rather short-lived as nine days later at the Munich World Cup Michelle Smith raised it another point. Michelle then went on to increase her own British Final record by 1.6 points to 480.7. Then proving that this level of scoring is no flash in the pan, Jen completed her June outings with another 584 in the Meeting of Shooting Hopes at Pilsen in the Czech Republic, to equal her British and Scottish Junior records. She then finished by setting new British and Scottish Junior Final records of 679.8, this score being the second highest ever in events qualifying for records, only bettered by Michelle’s score in Munich. Never has Britain’s women 3P shooters had such a month!
Staff There have been several recent changes following a restructuring of the management of Competitions Department at the NSRA. Ali Aitken has relinquished responsibility for the competitions part of his former post of Shooting Manager, but has retained his remaining responsibilities in the part-time role of Range Safety and Firearms Officer. The Shooting Manager post has been filled by Grant Dorrall, who was previously the Retail Manager in the NSRA Shop, but brings with him to his new role operational experience in competitions from his time with the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association. Terry Le Cheminant, who is already a familiar figure to customers in the NSRA Shop and to the wider shooting world, succeeds Grant as Retail Manager.
