The NRA’s Phoenix Meeting continues to grow and develop steadily despite the current economic climate, and 2011 saw 551 enthusiastic competitors shoot a record number of 3137 individual matches over the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May. It really is a huge task to evaluate and process this quantity of score cards but thankfully Charles Murton and his ever professional stats crew did an excellent job for us once again, so a big thank you must go out to them for all their hard work and effort! Whilst we’re on the subject, I think I should also mention that I’ve never seen so many incorrect scorecards being posted on the results board

during the weekend, and many of them hadn’t been handed in by first time or novice shooters either. Life (especially the stats crews) would be a lot easier if we all took a bit more time and care in checking our scorecards before signing them off, and if you’re not sure on how to do it properly, just ask another competitor or one of the Range Officers for advice as help will always be on hand.
