develop opportunities for disabled shooters, as outlined above. In return, the DSP will help the Focus Clubs to develop themselves in any way that will benefit disabled shooting.

Disabled-friendly Clubs – Clubs that do not aspire to be Focus Clubs, but which would be happy to welcome new members with some types of disabilities, and/or would like to develop opportunities for existing disabled members. ______________________________

50 Metre International Rifle Championships The Championships were held on 10 to 12 June on the Malcolm Cooper Range at Bisley, and two of the main highlights came in the Women’s 3 Position event on the last day. In the individual match Jennifer McIntosh was the winner by a large margin and set seven

records in the process. Her Qualification score of 584 took all four records, being a new British and Scottish record for both Women and Junior Women. Then in the final she added three more, the only final record to elude her being the British Women’s. It is hard to recall a performance by a British shooter that has set so many records at one go. In the Qualification stage the Home Countries International Match went to the Welsh trio of Jenny and Siân Corish and Helen Warnes and constituted a fairly rare win for the Principality. But what made it special for their supporters was that the same three had won the Women’s Prone International in a closely-contested match the day before – two Internationals wins in two days was an outstanding achievement for the Welsh. Results from the 50m Championships were

Men Prone Rifle 1 Matthew Thomson

Men 3 Position 1 Kenny Parr 2 James Huckle 3 Dan Rivers

2 Jonathan Hammond 694.8 3 James Huckle

695.0 693.4

1252.7 1247.9 1247.0

The double Welsh winners – Siân Corish, Jenny Corish and Helen Warnes.
