Small caliber bullpups are fairly ubiquitous as an assault-rifle platform but bullpup sniper rifles have struggled in the popularity stakes for a drag-bag full of reasons. Walther’s WA 2000 was the first serious attempt to use modern engineering principles to produce an accurate large caliber bullpup. It failed commercially because it was too complex and consequently


too expensive. By way of an epitaph, the Walther is now a rifle-design icon and is highly sought after by collectors. But I digress.


Despite the engineering problems faced in producing accurate large caliber bullpups the niche is an attractive one. This is mainly because military and police tactics rely on stealth during
