Editor’s Note Greetings!

We hope everyone is enjoying their start to 2011. As the designated Year of Craft (by Crafts Council of Ireland, celebrating 40 years young) in Ireland, we applaud the many busy quilters and craft enthusiasts.

You don’t have to go far to see the inspiring work in progress. In January, I spent time with Sadhbh Devlin (pictured on right), the creative mind behind Make and Do Mondays. Read about her and this new phenomenon on page XX.

Our new year begins by finishing instalments, which is sure to indicate a productive year ahead of us! We bid farewell to Celtic DeSigns (page XX) and Te Country Club (page XX), but welcome many more patterns, Celtic and otherwise. On page XX is our Saint Brigid’s Cross, a February favourite and in the lead up to St. Patrick’s Day, consider a quick and easy patriotic tribute with Amy Smart’s Irish Flags on page XX.

In my own endeavours for 2011, there continues a balancing act of work and life. We spend some time on page XX discussing positive new traits for the 2011 quilter. Troughout this issue, we share our plans and promises for the Year of Craft 2011, and we hope you find within motivation and inspiration to fill your quilting days.
