WED the Magazine was happy to support For Japan with Love in support of disaster relief after the recent earthquake. Our colleagues at Utterly Engaged and
Ever-Ours.com coordinated this effort.
As part of this effort, they asked wedding bloggers everywhere for a Day of Silence and to instead post the image to the right linked to the donation page.
They hoped to raise $5,000 for ShelterBox USA—enough for 5 shelters and supplies, each package supporting 10 people in need. They ended up raising over $60,000!
“We have been truly amazed at the response and how many huge hearts there are in this community,” said Lydia Yeung of

“We knew we couldn't just hop on a plane and go help, so the best way to help over here was to help raise funds,” explained Lydia. “The Blogger Day Of Silence came about in hopes to raise even MORE awareness for what we were doing and what people should be doing for Japan. “ And WED was happy to help!
