Yes, while everyone was looking at the amazing works of art at the Louvre, I was staring at the ceiling for monograms, and architectural elements. I gave this photo to the amazing husband and wife team Marilyn and Eddie at Natural Impressions to have them make it our own. Now, my only hitch (excuse the pun) was how to incorporate the Plexiglas. I didn't want to mount it or glue it to the card stock. Then another one of those aha moments, and the interjection of my humor, and I am confident
that
Marilyn and Eddie thought I was nuts in the beginning.
I
wanted to print part of the text on the paper that was mounted on the padded silk board inside the box and the balance including the monogram on the plexi.
I didn't care if it rattled about in the box, I wanted my guests to open the box and pick up one piece in each hand and say huh?? Then realize they had to put the two together to be able to actually read the invite. Kinda like those anatomy books back in high school that layered the bones and muscles and tendons with each transparent page..well you

The other tough part was the bling. I wanted something that reminded me of those spectacular million dollar chandeliers in the North Lobby of the Fontainebleau –
something that could be used as the closure mechanism for our box. We found this fabulous brooch with layered round stones. That was the missing piece. We did it! Ahhh, big sigh of relief, now we can send them out. UH Oh, it dawned on me – how are we going to mail them. I got so caught up in design I didn't stop and think of how to ship them.
