Tori & Dean STORIbook Weddings - Oxygen, Wednesdays 10 p.m.

Is this a joke? I’m so confused—it just didn’t make sense.

Tori

Spelling and Dean McDermott are wedding planners? Huh?

So, I’ll give you this — Tori Spelling is nothing if not stylish. And I’m sure she knows how to throw a killer party. But I was so confused

when I heard about this show. What’s Dean going to do? But it actually wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The first episode I saw was Emily and Levi’s Old Hollywood/Rat wedding. Yeah, rats. I think they may have ended up on this show because

WED The Magazine

David Tutera wasn’t getting anywhere near the pet rats!

I have to say the exuberance with which both Tori and Dean embraced the pet rats as part of the bridal party AND as part of the theme was a bit impressive. I can’t think of any real wedding planners who would have gone there.

And Tori’s connections seem to lead some great options for vendors and venues. It was impressive to see Dean getting down and dirty, building items for the wedding, spray painting bird cages (for the rats?) and other projects. Overall, we do prefer My Fair Wedding but STORIbook Weddings is a pretty good knock-off.
