me a box that she had used for welcome boxes at an event and it was perfect. Not to suggest that I invented this, I merely changed the application. A black box that we filled with silver and black filler paper then mounted the same mirror and cobalt paper on the top, and printed the design and mailing addresses of our guests in a matching font.
When I picked these up from them I did the happy dance – they looked like presents! Each one of our guests would get our invitation encased in a present box, it was perfect! Oh, and although I can't use the expletives that I heard over the phone after guests received the invites, but let's just say they were definitely the reaction I was looking for.
Side note – we got such amazing reactions to our invites that I created my own line of
invitations in collaboration with Marilyn and Eddie at Natural Impressions. We are excited to announce the Tiffany Couture Invitations by Natural Impressions launches in May of this year! Talk about amazing things!
This has been an amazing journey for me, both as a planner and a bride. I have experienced the roller coaster of emotions that I have told my clients about all these years. The excitement, the anticipation, and even a few bridezilla moments. Or as my amazing fiancé so eloquently put it, "I was uncharacteristically stressed and edgy at times.” It must have been strange for him and the kids to see the ever so calm, cool, and rarely shaken Tiffany, lose her mind at times over wedding planning. There is a strange dynamic that happens to a woman as she plans one of the biggest days of her life, and I wasn't immune to it. Even with all my resources I still stressed about our big day.
In my final segment I will unveil our decor design, flowers, tablescape, menu, and the rest of my thoughts and lessons learned on this fabulous journey. I will then be Tiffany Cook, which I can’t seem to think about without tears streaming down my face (happy tears), but uncharac- teristic for me none the less.
