were able to continue all the way to Blakely Rock on the southerly, whereas we were stuck above West Point with a northerly which tried unsuccessfully to fill in. Shoot the Moon, lead boat in our group, and a few others were maybe 150 yards closer to West Point and never felt the northerly. They continued to round West Point on the southerly and were gone, while we continued to struggle. Once the southerly came back, we had a great sail to and around the rock until just below West Point where the boats, including Shoot the Moon, were stacking up for the shift to a nice northerly. Once around West Point, we stayed outside in more current, but better wind. Big gains early, but the inside eventually filled in and we lost all we had gained. The wind backed off a bit making rounding

Meadow Point buoy was challenging in the light air and strong flood. Quite a few yachts missed the layline as the strong current pushed us southward more than we anticipated. The breeze had lightened by this point, to 4-5 knots. Boats rounded, set their spinnakers, and headed for the finish. Overall, it was a nice,
