The 2011 fall marching band season offers numerous opportunities to participate in shows, or be a fan and observe dedicated Wisconsin marching bands through- out our state. Contact the person listed above if you are interested in more information. There are openings for bands to participate in all shows.
State Marching Band Championships Schedule
The schedule for the October 15, 2011 State Marching Band Cham- pionships is determined by a random drawing from each class. It is now posted online at
www.wsmamusic.org/programs/march- ingband. If you are interested in taking part as a performing unit either in the competitive or festival class, please email twurgler@
wsmamusic.org.
Recognition for Teachers With 25 Years of Service
• Were you a first-year teacher in 1986 or prior to 1986? • Have you taught for 25 years (or more)? • Have you been an MENC member for at least 10 of those years?
If the answer is yes to all of these questions and we haven’t previously honored you, then now is the time. WMEA is planning to recognize teachers with 25 or more years of service in Wisconsin State Music Conference materials and the September issue of Wisconsin School Musician.
Simply complete the
