Dorma’s investment in research and development ensures it advances door closer technology. Ceiling solution
Over 1,750sq m of Rockfon ceiling tiles were specified for the £2.9m Bowlplex in Camberley. Lightweight yet robust, the Alaska tiles combine a smooth white surface with effective properties in acoustics, fire safety and humidity resistance, while Rockfon’s Polar Black tiles created a distinctive interior in the American Pool room.

Pet rescue
C-TEC’s XFP analogue addressable fire panel has been installed at a veterinary hospital in Glasgow. The one-loop LPCB-approved, 16-zone panel provides total protection and is linked to an array of Apollo XP95 detectors. A two-minute delay programmed into each panel avoids costly false alarms and prevents unnecessary full- scale evacuation.

Indoor swimming pools featuring Polypool’s latest heat-retaining panel technology, are part of underground leisure suites in a new residential development by Southacres. Polypool designed and built high specification heated pools for each new home, including environmental controls, chlorine-free purification and a music system that utilises the benefits of wireless technology.

Legionella monitoring Automatic barriers
Autopa supplied and installed two ES automatic barriers at Cockenzie Power Station. The double barriers restrict access to the site and include double height skirts and boom lighting. They are available with up to 8m length booms for single barriers. Double barriers are available for wider road widths. Available with single or no skirt.

General Environmental Services has signed a distribution agreement with Radio-Tech to provide its clients with aquavision, Radio-Tech’s wireless legionella management system. Aquavision wirelessly monitors water temperatures at multiple sites from any internet enabled location. The automated system is easier than manually checking and automatically flushing outlets on each floor of a building.
