The Chinese New Year is one of the most popular festivals celebrated both within and outside China. The massive festival hits the streets of London’s West-End from the 3rd of February. Also Known as the Year Of The Rabbit, it comes with several ways to join in the celebrations as London’s Chinatown welcomes


all different cultures in the festive period. Watch lions, dragons and dancers make their way through Chinatown as they display some fantastic performances. In Trafalgar Square last year, spectators enjoyed displays of acrobatics, martial arts, opera and Chinese dance, while Leicester Square played host to an


hourly firework and firecracker dis- play. Do come down and experience the unique and exciting phenomenon of New Year in China. More than 300,000 people enjoyed London’s Chinese New Year celebrations for the Year Of The Ox in 2010. If you can’t get to China, then come along and party on the streets of London!
