Smiler SMILER Ones To Watch 2011

South East London Grime/ Hip Hop artist Smiler is hotly tipped for 2011. He dropped his recent mix tape this time last year which was a massive smash and featured Roll Deep, Nate James, Ghetts and Tinie Tempah. So far, he has racked up an impressive fan base including Westwood, Mr Hudson and Tinchy Strider and has previously supported D12 and GZA from the Wu Tang Clan. It has also been announced that Smiler will support Tinie Tempah on tour this year so be sure to check that out. His track ‘ENZA’ has been the most played on 1Xtra A-list, and he has just recorded album track ‘Man I Used To Be’ with Pete Doherty. His debut album drops this year, so plenty of rappers should be nervous. Watch this space!

Other artists to look out for:

The Vaccines Wretch 32 Nero DJ Seven James Blake

Jimmy Carr - Lets not forget what Christmas is all about. ‘The Baby Jesus’, if you don’t know he was like a child star who really blew it.

I wouldn’t say he blew it, he recently made a big comeback on Family Guy.

Russell Brand - Isn’t Jan 1st just made up? Don’t the Chinese and the Jews have a different new year? It’s all rhubarb. Happy pancake day.

Happy rhubarb Russel, enjoy your pan- cakes... you little lunatic, you...

Lily Allen - Currently NOT fly like a G6. Sit- ting on the plane and grounded, all airports closed according to pilot. Great, just great. Like a like a G6 like a G6... What were you saying Lily? Damn that song gets stuck in everyone’s head.

Modestep - It’s the second of January, and so far.. i’ve spent this entire year in bed. He’s like David Blaine in the glass box, just different...

Lady Sovereign - Did you know 1% of people end up with monopoly hotels stuck up their arse at Xmas?

Dunno where you get your stats from, but 1% of everyone is a lot of arses! I feel kind of lucky now...

Joan Rivers - Why do I always get the ugli- est Xmas gifts? You know its bad when the nicest thing you can say is, ‘I’d be so upset if this caught fire.’

Right that’s the last time we’re giving you a self portrait for Christmas. Show some festive spirit Joan!
