IN ADDITION to the vast amount of tackle being offered by show organisers Used Tackle, which will occupy half of the huge heated exhibition hall at Newark, there will be bargains galore from the traders occupying stalls on the other half. Newark is the only place where you will find


fishing tackle retailers, manufacturers and wholesalers under one roof, all coming together from around the country to make the most of the last chance to clear out their stock before Christmas. Everyone from pole float manufacturers to


the biggest eBay sellers will be there, and van salesmen who spend their year visiting shops to sell their company’s wares will be selling direct to the public at Newark. Some of the biggest retailers in the country


will be there, including Vale Royal Angling and the UK’s largest fishing retailer, Fishing Republic, both manning stands stacked high with top tackle that they don’t want to have to take back with them at the end. The show kicks off at 9am on both Saturday


and Sunday, with the man on the mic, Roger Surgay, doing his famous auction of mountains of tackle at silly prices to clear the lot in two days. He will be selling a full range of Used


Tackle’s own branded gear, with Dragon Carp, Dragon Match, Avanti, Carp Kinetics, Fossil Fly, Conquest Fishing and Dragon Surf all there. ‘One question I get asked every year as
