MARUKYU SFA 420 CRAYFISH AND SANAGI LIQUID

PRESTON INNOVATIONS MONSTER LUGGAGE

ADDITIVE WHEN Marukyu, the world’s largest bait firm, launched in the UK in 2010 it kicked off with around 37 distinctly new products, from groundbaits and additives to pellets and boilies. The Japanese giant, who celebrated their 100th

birthday this year, launched some very interesting baits containing ingredients such as Tanishi, a water snail extract that’s already a natural and highly concentrated protein source in fish diets. They introduced Sanagi, too, a high protein silkworm chrysalis that’s an extremely effective fish attractant, especially for carp. It’s their SFA 420 Crayfish and Sanagi Liquid

Additive that’s been their top seller so far, though. Roy Marlow, product development director,

told us: ‘Almost every additive I have ever seen catches

more anglers than fish. Few have any science behind them, and are merely nice smelling concoctions. Marukyu additives work with proven science.’

Marukyu say Sanagi works great as an additive

because of its high protein content and the distinctive smell. Fish are naturally attracted to high protein sources, and the taste of silkworm chrysalis also holds a special attraction to them. It contains dozens of key amino acids and, most

importantly, enhanced fish feeding triggers. Their SFA 420 has the ability to stick to any bait, especially wet ones such as corn and hemp, yet does not freeze in cold water conditions and has the added bonus of being PVA-friendly yet contains no oil.

We hear it’s excellent on any

meat-based products, perfect for enhancing any bait in stick mixes, PVA bags

and adding a proven

stimulator to any

groundbait. The addition of Crayfish makes this product

even more irresistible. With an RRP of £7.99, Marukyu say one

capful will enhance a standard tin of corn or meat.

Try this Marukyu additive on your meat and corn baits.

38 anglersmail.com ON SALE TUESDAY NASH TITAN BIVVY

IT’S the Titan of all bivvies, and it’s the latest version of Nash Tackle’s famous Titan carp shelter that has sold so well for them in 2010, despite a price tag the wrong side of £400! Returning in a second generation rebirth for 2010, it comes with a unique patented swivel block design for rapid speed set-up, and the rigid frame has proved itself capable of withstanding everything nature throws at it.

‘The Titan, originally launched in the 90s, is famous for changing bivvy design forever, and there are many stories of its legendary status. Titan users have survived tree boughs in excess of half a tonne crashing down on their shelters. They’ve also been spotted on the news sitting rock solid whilst 4 ft of raging flood water rushed by,’ Nash Tackle’s man at the helm, Kevin Nash, reported.

‘Now manufactured in the Far East, the Titan was launched last spring and the original order sold out in one week,’ he added.

The latest 2010 Titan not only comes with its speedy set-up, maximum strength, rigid, preformed aluminium frame, but also with a new generation armoured material of 15,000HS nylon, with an all-weather storm front and heavy-duty mosquito mesh infill front option. There are also side windows and door panels that roll back to reveal see-through windows, a clip-in heavy-duty groundsheet, heavy-duty T pegs, two 36 in. bivvy sticks and storm stick adaptors. Available with an RRP of £419.99, there’s an Overwrap to go with it, too, priced £149.99.

THE Monster Luggage range from Preston Innovations stood out at their products for 2010 tackle launch, so we’re not surprised, a year on, to hear that they’ve gone down particularly well with match anglers.

‘The response to our Monster Luggage range has been nothing short of phenomenal in 2010. The Monster Tackle and Accessory Bag was a true flagship product that really set a precedent for the standards we wanted to achieve with the Monster range,’ reported Preston’s Mat Woods. ‘The bag was developed because we recognised the fact that match anglers had been stuck using the same carryalls for decades. They were no longer the best way to carry the vast amount of gear match anglers now require when they go fishing, so it was purpose-built to accommodate things such as rollers, pole supports and other larger accessories. ‘The Monster Feeder and Accessory Bag and Mega Bait Bags have been just as popular, that’s without mentioning our rod and pole holdalls. Whether you’re a club angler or travelling around fishing festivals and major tournaments, Monster has all the bases covered. It’s for this reason that we’ve expanded the range for 2011, with more innovative products such as the Table Top Bait Bag and Monster Tackle & Net Bag, which we’re sure will prove just as desirable,’ he added.

The Monster Tackle and Accessory Bag retails for £59.99, and the Monster Feeder and Accessory Bag £44.99.

The radical Nash Titan bivvy has proved itself in some of the worst conditions nature could throw at it.
