TACKLE SPECIAL

MISTRAL PURE

PINEAPPLE BOILIES MISTRAL Baits’ best-selling new product for 2010 is a fruit classic – Pure Pineapple 15 mm boilies in their new Instant Carp Food range. The Instant range is designed for getting your alarms

sounding as quickly as possible, working for you as soon as your baits enter the water. Ideal for short sessions or abroad, they use a

high-energy balanced nutritional base mix that releases attractors quickly. The Pure Pineapple baits, tasting as good as they smell, with their select ingredients, taste enhancers and sweetener, are designed to encourage hard feeding, whether fed in small quantities or heavy quantities over longer periods. Highly digestible, they’ll perform in summer or winter, too, utilising Mistral’s most effective attractor combinations. Expect to pay around £6.99 for a kilo.

FLAVOURED POP-UP CORN THERE must have been thousands of fish, including hefty carp, bream and tench, caught on Enterprise Tackle’s pop-up plastic corn. And that was before they released their Classic Flavour range for 2010 – which has

been another winner. ‘The Classic range of pop-up corn has, without doubt, been our most successful

product of the year,' said Enterprise Tackle’s Chris Hornsby. ‘By combining our legendary corn with flavours from some of the top bait companies,

we created a bait that people have great confidence in.’ Supplied in blister packs, you get eight grains of corn in a mini bottle filled with classic

flavours such as Richworth’s Tutti Frutti, Nutrabaits Cranberry and Solar Tackle’s Ester Pineapple. The range consists of 15 flavours and ten colours including a purple corn flavoured with Nutrabaits Plum. ‘Although designed to work all year round, the range will really come into its own

during the winter months, when heavily flavoured small hook baits are so effective. We expect to sell a lot of the fruity flavoured fluoro colours this winter, as well as the white corn flavoured with Solar’s Ester Cream with added Scopex,’ he added. Prices are set to rise to around £3.10.

MASTERLINE WALKER

NITRIUM II CARP RODS THE runaway success for Masterline Walker this year has been their Rovex Nitrium ll Carp Rods, built on super-slim, lightweight blanks with very discreet graphics that you would normally only find on rods costing £80 or more. The 12 ft 2.75 lb and 3 lb test curve rods have a retail price of £49.99, but

as Masterline Walker MD Dick Tallents points out, it is the quality of the rods and the way that they handle rather than their cost that has won them a large number of fans. 'At the end of the day it is not the price but the performance that is critical, and the actions of these rods are truly superb,' said Dick.

'Building on the success of these rods, we are introducing additional heavier test curves for 2011, as well as a five-piece version.'
