Zotac expands graphics line-up
GTX 580 creates top-end realism and detail, vendor claims
ZOTAC HAS launched the new GeForce GTX 580, which it
claims is the world’s fastest
graphics card powered by Nvidia Fermi architecture. According to the vendor, games powered by Microsoft DirectX 11 render perfectly, creating high quality visual realism and precise detail.
The graphics card is 3D ready, with Nvidia 3D Vision Surround and SLI technologies for triple-display gaming with stereoscopic 3D effects when
combined with up to three matching
graphics cards. The device also features a
brand new graphics processor with
512 unified shaders to handle the latest games and Nvidia Cuda-enabled applications, while a 1536MB frame buffer connected via an ultra-wide 384-bit memory interface ensures further realism. The Zotac GeForce GTX 580 graphics card is available now from Realtime Distribution.

Vendor unleashes another dedicated gaming case
XIGMATEK HAS launched the Pantheon – the latest in its range of low- price, high-performance gaming cases. Available from Realtime Distribution,
the Pantheon features four 5.25-inch external drive bays and six internal 2.5/3.5-inch hard drive bays, which are directly cooled by two pre-installed fans and can be accessed through a front panel.
The interior includes space for large CPU coolers or multiple GPUs, as well as holes for a liquid cooling system. In addition, the case features a range of little touches like grooves and clips for running cables through in a tidy manner and screw-less ODD holders. As well as the fans for the HDD cage, the case also features two pre-installed rear fans that can be controlled from a top panel, which also carries a USB 3.0 port.

VEHO HAS launched its new pocket- sized video camera, which can be paired with a whole host of mounting accessories for different situations. The Muvi HD, which Veho describes as “the eagerly-awaited big brother to the successful Muvi micro camcorder”, films in high definition. It features a 5MP snapshot function with a timer, enhanced night mode support, 3x digital zoom and ultra-wide 160-degree field of view. The device includes a 4GB memory card and storage can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card. A 1.5-inch

and easily see what they are shooting, while the inbuilt speaker allows for easy playback. According to the vendor, the inbuilt
rechargeable battery lasts for up to three hours of filming, and an auto standby function conserves power.

The device comes with a
wireless remote control, and Veho has produced a number of mounting accessories, which are purchased separately. These include a car suction mount and handle bar mount for hands-free use.
