Alternatively, The Miz could buy a front row ticket to watch Cena in action or take him out with a ‘Skull Crushing Finale’ move. Ouch. Other possibilities from player actions include being abandoned by a tag team partner, having post-match fights or being double-crossed by other wrestlers. With over 100 new cut scenes as well as an authentic season calendar, the new WWE Universe mode promises to be the big selling point of SmackDown vs Raw 2011.
In Custom Match, players can take control of any WWE Superstar or WWE Diva, play with friends and create their
own set of rules. The top 10 contenders for each title from the separate SmackDown and Raw divisions are also displayed on-screen, with gamers able to challenge computer and player- controlled characters in order to defend or claim a new belt.
WWE SUPERSTARS There are more than 70 WWE Superstars and WWE Divas in SmackDown vs Raw 2011. Each in- game model features new skin textures and movement technology while the title boasts an all-new engine, delivering the most authentic looking WWE title to date. There are also new arenas and 100 match types including Hell in a Cell and Tables, Ladders and Chairs matches. Players can also create their own customised wrestler, before tweaking his
or her appearance, moves, fighting stances, taunts, partnerships, attributes and more. THQ says SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 boasts the franchise’s largest online feature set to date, including an assortment of upcoming DLC that will include new playable WWE Superstars, WWE Divas, alternate ring gear and official arenas.
The first package will be free to those who buy the game from new. It includes Chris Masters, Rey Mysterio’s Halloween attire, Kelly Kelly’s Devil clothing and more. Pre-owned buyers will be able to purchase the DLC pack for 800 MS points or around £10 on PSN. Further DLC will become available after the game’s release on October 29th.
