ACTIVISION’S Hero brand has gone from strength to strength since it entered the market with Guitar Hero five years ago.

In 2009 it broadened its reach with pop-focused Band Hero and dance remix game DJ Hero – the latter of which is getting a sequel with new modes, a range of top DJs and microphone-compatibility. DJ Hero proved popular with the masses due to its blend of hip-hop, dance and house tunes, with sales of over 1m in the US alone. It was also the highest-grossing new IP of last year in the US and Europe. The addition of a turntable controller immersed gamers with a new rhythm- based interactive music experience, while the game’s unique remixes
