You rediscover the fun of travel when you take the kids—or grandkids—on a Classic Family Journey. Suddenly, ancient ruins are for climbing on. Bocci ball becomes a game for playing.Alpine tram rides turn into joy rides. And you make memories that they’ll tell their own children about for years.
You have all of the fun and none of the fuss.
Long-distance trips with kids aged 7 to 15 can be a challenge. So Classic Family Journeys are designed to match the energy levels and attention spans of younger travelers. Distances are short enough to prevent “Are we there yet?” We’ve scouted out cool stuff like a nighttime safari, mountain biking on wide medieval walls and zipline rides. We get our hands dirty in crafts sessions with local artisans…and we lead kid-sensitive tours of must-see landmarks. Picky eaters? No problem. We find the local specialties kids love—pizza, fondue, picnic fare—as well as chances to try new tastes.
Relax, kids.We take good care of adults too.
Our local guides understand the interests of both children and adults. When the younger ones go their carefully tended way, we offer adults-only activ- ities—like wine-tastings, longer walks and gourmet dinners. We choose fine inns and hotels for their comfort and their family-friendliness. You never have to sacrifice your pleasure to keep the kids happy.
Kids get a price break!
When sharing a room with two full-paying guests, kids ages 11-16 receive a $500 discount; ages 7-10 receive a $750 discount; ages 3-6 receive a $1250 discount; ages 2 and younger receive a $1750 discount. When sharing a room with one full-paying guest, kids receive a $250 discount.

Donkey ride or cultural experience? It’s both at once as we ford a mountain stream to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou on our Morocco Family Journey. (Page 46).
