REACH FOR THE SKY
Sky has announced new prices to help boost café business: sign up and add entertainment to the menu
Customers are often spoilt for choice when choosing a place to eat or grab a cuppa. Now cafés can have a competitive edge by showing Sky and giving their customers that little bit more at prices to suit. Standing out from the competition is key and by showing live sport,
breaking news, the biggest shows, music and more, your café can add entertainment to the customer menu. Quality entertainment could work wonders for your business by not only attracting new customers but also bringing them back for more.
This season customers can look forward to more sports than ever, including 138 live Premier League matches and up to 15 matches every week during the UEFA Champions League. This is in addition to the Football League, Scottish Premier League, international football, European and international rugby, the Ashes and the Ryder Cup as well as a mix of other channel genres, so now could be a great time to take advantage of this fantastic new offer Sky has for cafés.
SKY SPORTS NEWS - BIGGER AND BETTER Sky Sports News is a favourite amongst café customers looking to keep up to date on breaking sports news. Sky has announced plans to develop the successful channel through increased editorial investment and the launch of Europe's first high definition sports news service. As a result, Sky Sports News will come off the Freeview TV platform on August 23 2010 meaning the channel will become exclusively a pay TV channel. On the same day Sky Sports News will be launched in high definition. The increase in investment will build on the existing success of Sky Sports News, which pioneered the concept of a dedicated sports news channel in the UK and is watched by millions every week. The changes are designed to bring customers even richer and broader coverage of sports news, as well as faster reaction to breaking stories wherever they happen. The editorial enhancements will bring benefits for viewers of the existing standard definition channel as well as Sky Sports News HD, which will become the fifth HD channel in the Sky Sports stable.
Viewers of the new look Sky Sports News can look forward to:
• Faster reaction to breaking stories • More reporters on the road • More live reports from an even wider range of events • Roving presenters, live in the studio and on location • New giant touch screen in the studio for even more in-depth analysis
• Every Premier League club covered, whenever the story breaks • Live coverage of every Premier League club on transfer deadline day
