Queens art tour Art Adventure in Queens: Noguchi & More
Get inspired by art of our times in
Queens, which has the highest concentration of art in NYC outside of Manhattan. Start with the Socrates Sculpture Park on the river, where large-scale sculp- tures are displayed. Then enjoy the 25th anniversary celebration of the Noguchi Garden Museum. Noguchi is known for his sculpture, ceramics and lighting designs, as well as his belief in the social role of sculpture. You’ll also get a chance to talk to exhibiting artists at MoMA P.S.1 — a former public school turned art world star. This is a once in 5-year chance to view “The Greater New York Show” which takes the pulse of emerging art in the metropolitan area. Light lunch on own at P.S.1.
