Dolce and Delicious: Italian and American Desserts Lina and Jennifer team up to prepare some traditional Italian desserts and their American counterparts. The two will demonstrate a variety of complementary recipes, such as amaretti (almond cookies) and coconut macaroons; biscotti and short- bread; pesche alla Piemontese (roasted peaches with amaretti) and Melba-inspired poached peaches with vanilla ice cream; and crostata (fruit preserves tart) and free form fruit tart. Food fee ($10) payable to instructors.

heat and a couple of ingredients, and you’ll be sitting down to fresh mozzarella in about 30 minutes. Learn the basics of making a cooked cheese, and as a bonus, make a no-knead bread. Recipes provided. Fee ($5) payable in class. Includes a take-home cooking thermometer and a rennet tablet for future batches.
